A project that brings back an ancient artisan’s technique, glassblowing in a cage, to create a bright and organic object, like a cocoon resting or suspended in the room. Blowing gives to glass slight irregularities in the shape and tiny air bubbles seem to float in the matter, making each creation unique. The metal frame in plain sight – a deliberate choice by designer Enrico Franzolini – with its playful pattern gives the lamp a strong personality even when turned off.
